Studio Barvolam is an art studio for artists over 18 who bear the label “mentally disabled”or “autistic”.

Experienced guides will be your creative support, helping you discover your capabilities.

You can try out different types of visual art such as drawing, painting, graphics, collage, photography and video.

A friendly and creative environment with a small collective is waiting for you.

What Can We Offer?

• Professional development of your artistic talent.
• Presentation of your work in solo and group exhibitions.
• The sale or loan of your works at auctions, to private buyers, or public institutions, under the standard terms and conditions.
• Formation of a network of contacts in the contemporary art scene, and with individual curators and gallerists.
• Connection and mutual inspiration with us – artists who have been “disabled” by academic education.

How to begin working with Studio Barvolam?

• Come take a look at our studio.
• Bring any example of your work.
• If you don’t have one, you can make something right in the studio at our first meeting.
• You have a trial period in which you can visit the studio 15-20 times.
• After the trial period, we discuss the details of your acceptance into Studio Barvolam.

What is the studio like?

• Studio Barvolam is wheelchair-accessible.
• Studio Barvolam has space for 12 artists.
• Studio Barvolam is located in the center of Prague, a few minutes’ walk from metro stations Můstek or Národní třída or the tram stop Vodičkova.
• At Studio Barvolam we always adhere to the current government disease control measures regarding Covid-19.
